Hollywood actor Daniel Dae Kim is returning to the screen with a new reality show, K-Everything. In the four-part travel series, the Butterfly actor will explore how the Korean culture became a global phenomenon.

K-Everything will premiere on May 9, 2026. It will air at 9 p.m. ET on CNN International. The series will also be available to watch on the CNN app for US viewers.

According to IMDb, the synopsis of the Daniel Dae Kim series reads as:

"Follows Daniel Dae Kim as he goes on a quest to discover how South Korea has sparked a global pop culture movement, driving trends in music, food, TV and film."

The upcoming CNN travel series will air its first Episode on Saturday, May 9, 2026. It will be broadcast on CNN International and available to watch on the CNN app. Daniel Dae Kim will host and also executive-produce the series. In each episode of K-Everything, the Hollywood actor will explore the four most important areas of Korean culture, from K-pop to K-beauty, that have taken the global audience by storm.

In the travel series, Kim will explore the reasons behind the Korean culture's 'hype' in a global setting. And also showcase the people working behind the scenes in making it impactful. Whether it's K-pop, Korean Beauty trends and products, or K-drama and films, all of these are now parts of global pop culture.

In the series, the actor will explore Korean roots and meet the people who played a key role in making the Korean culture a global phenomenon. From popular South Korean singer PSY, chef Kang Min-goo, and K-pop Demon Hunters producers, Daniel Dae Kim will meet all of them to learn more about their respective categories. He will also meet Squid Game and No Other Choice star Lee Byung-hun.

According to Asia News Network, Kim shared why he titled the series, K-Everything, and what it will showcase in the four-part series. He stated:

"What the producers and I wanted to do was highlight Korea for the prominent culture that it is. It’s a country roughly the size of New Jersey, and yet the influence it has on the world stage is significant. So we wanted to go a little deeper behind the tongue-in-cheek headline and look at the driving forces, some of the dynamics in the country that got it to this point."

He further added that the CNN series will help people who love the culture but are not yet much aware of it, provide a deeper look into it, and might also be entertaining.


Apart from the upcoming series, Daniel Dae Kim has also appeared in various popular TV shows such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and ER.
