Initially, Simon doubted Maddie's ex-boyfriend, Xavier. He belived that Xavier might be involved in her vanishing but then the doubt shifted towards Mr. Anderson. The teacher becomes a suspect because Simon and Maddie learn about hidden cash and more phone evidence related to him.

The mystery deepens as Maddie and Simon learn the people around them have deceived others. It is revealed that Claire had been blackmailing Mr. Anderson, that Nicole secretly extorted money for her own future and that Maddie’s mother lied about their final interaction.

Simon's story so far in School Spirits Season 3, explained

A turning point arrives in Season 2 when Simon finds an underground fallout shelter beneath the school. He realizes that this place has always played a key role in moving Maddie's body.

As the chapter closes, Maddie regains her body while Simon ends up being trapped in the spirit world. And now, freeing Simon from the afterlife has become the key mission in School Spirits Season 3.

He is still tapped there, and in the latest episode, Simon learns more about the hidden passage connected to Mr. Martin’s scar. From the start, he has been determined to find the truth about it as he belives there might be a way for him to escape the spirit world.

Simon starts feeling hopeful again after Wally secretly goes through the hidden passage and comes back with disturbing news. What Wally experiences shows that something on the other side can briefly connect the world of the living and the dead.

This makes Simon even more certain that the abandoned house linked to the passage might explain how spirits can cross between worlds. Even though others are scared and try to stop him, Simon doesn’t want to give up this chance.
