What’s next for Heated Rivalry stars? Here's where you might see them after the hit Crave series

The breakout success of Heated Rivalry has done more than capture audiences with its emotional storytelling and electric performances. It has also transformed its leading stars into some of the most sought-after rising talents in the industry. Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, who earned global recognition for their portrayal of rival hockey players Shane and Ilya, have quickly become fan favorites and industry names to watch.

Following their late-2025 debut in Crave's queer hockey romance series, based on Rachel Reid's Game Changers book series, the stars have presented at the Golden Globes, made their respective late-night show debuts, become Winter Olympic torchbearers, and attended a ton of fashion events. Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams is re-teaming with Crave for an exciting project

As fans eagerly await Hudson Williams' return to the ice in Crave's Heated Rivalry Season 2, the actor has teamed up with the Canadian streamer for another project. It was recently announced that Williams has joined Crave's debut half-hour drama series Yaga, alongwith stars Carrie-Anne Moss (Jessica Jones, FUBAR), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), and Clark Backo (Letterkenny, 21 Thunder).

Crave's upcoming series Yaga is based on Kat Sandler's eponymous play, a contemporary re-imagining of the myth of Baby Yaga. The series is set in a coastal town, and the official synopsis reads as follows:

''A private investigator (Reid) arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Williams). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives and ancient magic.”

Baby Yaga is a popular female character from Slavic folklore, often depicted as an old lady disguised as a witch. The project is being developed by Sandler, who will also serve as the showrunner on the series.

That's not all. Hudson Williams has also added Netflix’s The Altruists to his growing slate after Heated Rivalry, a drama series about the collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The series follows Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle), founder of the collapsed crypto exchange FTX, and his business partner Caroline Ellison (Julia Garner). Netflix is keeping Williams' role under wraps for now.

Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie has reportedly joined A24's upcoming comedy film

While his Heated Rivalry co-star has bagged a Crave drama project, Connor Storrie is likely shifting lanes with a comedy film.

According to a recent report by Deadline, the breakout star is in talks to join Peaked, the A24 comedy film starring Molly Gordon, Allie Levitan, Emma Mackey, Laura Dern, Gabby Windey, Simone Ashley, Mitra Jouhari, and Levon Hawke. A24 is backing the project, with Levitan penning the script and Gordon set to direct.

The official synopsis for Peaked, which will begin production this month, reads as follows:

''The film follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.''

As A24 continues to keep Connor Storrie's casting under wraps, the Heated Rivalry star will be seen in Michel K. Parandi's sci-fi thriller April X. Storrie plays Baxter, a brother hellbent on finding his sister April in a futuristic post-Soviet cityscape, ultimately descending into madness. The movie will be released in the latter half of the year.

As Storrie continues to bag impressive projects, fans are excited to see the actor's Saturday Night Live debut on February 28, with musical guest star Mumford & Sons.

While Williams and Storrie's schedules look jam-packed for the coming year, they will reunite as Shane and Ilya in Heated Rivalry Season 2, which will begin production in Summer 2026 and is based on Reid's The Long Game. Jacob Tierney will return as writer, creator, and showrunner for the second season.
