The Compass Points Home episode of Lioness Season 2 ended with Joe returning home with her squad to the military base after a fatal shootout on the Iran border. Now the Taylor Sheridan fans are waiting for the premiere of the next season on Paramount+. The platform has announced that Season 3 will return on August 2 this year, bringing Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana back for another round of action.

The previous season showed that the CIA shifted its fight against terrorism within America. Joe, Byron, and Kaitlyn brought in a new Lioness agent to go undercover inside a rising threat. Meanwhile, the job's heavy demands forced Joe to face the personal costs of running the secret program.

The team faced a severe crisis. Joe gave Josie a gun and told her to use it so no one would get captured alive. Josie began to lose hope and screamed in pain. Joe then whispered a final message to her family because he thought they might die. Luckily, the military planes arrived in time and used missiles and gunfire to stop the enemies quickly. The team gathered back at the hangar, where doctors treated their bullet wounds and fixed Josie's broken leg.
