Emily in Paris Season 5 will be set in different locations instead of just being set in Paris. In Season 1, we saw Emily Cooper, a marketing executive, move to Paris to help them understand the American way of marketing. The first four seasons of the show were set in Paris, but Emily in Paris 5 will be set in both France and Italy.

At the end of Season 4, Emily not only had a new romantic interest but also a new workplace. She moved to Rome, Italy, to set up and work at the Italian office of Agence Grateau. Thus, Emily in Paris Season 5 was filmed in multiple locations to match the show's ongoing storyline.

Netflix also confirmed that the show was being filmed in Rome via a post on Instagram back in May 2025.
