HBO Max's Industry has been the latest obsession for fans of the shiny finance world, and with its gritty and witty storyline and characters that peel the covers back on all the corporate drama, it's praise well deserved.
Apart from its premise, characters and bold storytelling, fans have also been looking at the locations that have brought the show to life, and even though most people may think it's mostly London, you couldn't be more wrong.
Here's where the fourth season of Industry was shot.
Industry Season four filming locations
Despite its obsession with the City of London, Industry has always been something of a geographical illusion and season four continues that tradition, expanding the show’s visual world while quietly pulling the rug out from under its supposed London setting. The truth is that much of Industry season four was filmed in Wales, with Cardiff once again serving as the show’s primary production base.
Cardiff remains the backbone of the show’s productions, with locations across the city doubling for London’s financial district, with areas like Cardiff Bay’s Oval Basin and Penarth Pier repeatedly transformed into slick metropolitan backdrops. The city’s streets and civic buildings are dressed to resemble London’s corporate core, continuing a visual trick the series has perfected since its first season.
London does still appear, but not as much as one may think. Exterior shots filmed at recognizable locations such as Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, and around the City of London help anchor the story in the capital.
A list of Welsh locations we see this season includes,
- Castell Coch
- Tredegar House
- Coedarhydygly
- Celtic Manor Resort
- International Convention Centre Wales
- Clwb Ifor Bach
- Temple of Peace
- Wolf Studios
- Sherman Theatre
- National Museum of Wales
- BBC Cymru Wales
- Cardiff University
- Parkgate Hotel
- Brunel House, Cardiff
- Portland House, Cardiff
- Assembly Square, Cardiff
Beyond Wales and London, the series also ventures further afield as select scenes were filmed in Bristol, Mallorca, and even Durban, South Africa, reinforcing season four’s broader, more global scope.
What is the fourth season of Industry about?
Industry season 4 is about power after arrival. The trading floor is gone, Pierpoint has collapsed, and the characters are no longer scrambling to break in. They are already inside the system and discovering that staying powerful is far more dangerous than becoming powerful.

As Yasmin navigates her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) and Harper is pulled into the orbit of enigmatic executive Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and ignite under the pressure of money, power, and the desire to be on top.
