Ashes to Crown is among the latest C-dramas engaging fans through a historical fantasy romance story. Based on the web novel titled Chu Hou, the show offers a mix of rebirth, political struggles, betrayals and much more.

What's interesting about the story is that it has a very strong female lead. She is Chu Zhao, the intelligent and capable daughter of a respected military general. In her real life, Zhao believes that she's tying the knot with the love of her life Xiao Xun who happens to be the ambitious heir connected to the powerful State of Chu.

However, the reality turns out to be exactly the opposite of what Chu Zhao believed. Xiao Xun does not love her at all and instead uses her as a tool to strengthen his political ambitions.

He even destroyed her family and killed her, but the tables turned when Chu was given a second chance at life and woke up on her wedding day. This means she knows everything that's about to happen and can alter the events. This way, the story begins in the C-drama.

So far, nine episodes have come out on Netflix and Ashes to Crown has a total of 24 episodes. Fans will get to watch new episodes every day.
