In addition to his impressive portrayals in Twin Peaks and The OA, Davies was also recognized for his voice acting in award-winning productions such as Studio Ghibli's Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and Audible's Impact Winter.

Here, we revisit Owain Rhys Davies’ portrayal of Agent Wilson in Twin Peaks and remember his memorable performance following his tragic passing.

Twin Peaks: The Return, which serves as the third and final season of Lynch's surrealist mystery horror series, picks up 25 years after the haunting cliffhanger of the Season 2 finale. As FBI agent Dale Cooper's (Kyle MacLachlan) old FBI friends reopen the 1989 murder of Laura Palmer, the town is forced to confront the continuing fallout of her death.

Owain Rhys Davies' Agent Wilson appeared in three episodes of Twin Peaks (Parts 14, 15 and 16), alongside Lynch's FBI deputy director Gordon Cole.

According to a 2016 article on Welcome To Twin Peaks, Davies auditioned for the Twin Peaks role through casting director Johanna Ray and it was only after seven months that he received final confirmation. In a later interview with a media outlet, the actor shared his reaction to his casting as:

“My agent called me while I was driving. I had auditioned seven months before, so I already assumed I didn’t get the part. I had to pull over and I just screamed. Everyone around me looked at me in shock. It was a memorable day.”

In 2017, the actor even shared a behind-the-scenes photo with Lynch from the Twin Peaks set on his social media, expressing his gratitude for the wonderful opportunity.

Owain Rhys Davies' Agent Wilson was introduced in Twin Peaks: Part 14, when he forwarded a call to Special Agent Randall Headley (Jay R. Ferguson) from Director Gordon Cole, requesting information on two Las Vegas residents, Douglas and Jane Jones, who were connected to a double murder case. While this was an exciting development in the investigation, Wilson expressed his doubts when searches suggested that there were about twenty-three people named Douglas Jones in the area. This led to a conflict between Headley and Owain Rhys Davies' character, as the former maintained that it is their job to catch the killer, even in such tough circumstances.

The late actor’s run on Twin Peaks ended when Agent Wilson escorted Douglas and Jane Jones in for questioning, only for investigators to discover they were not the suspects they had been looking for.

Beyond Twin Peaks, Owain Rhys Davies is best known for playing Dave in Netflix's psychological mystery series The OA, Mr. Mann in My Dead Ex, Alice Through the Looking Glass, starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and 2019's dark-comedy film A Serial Killer's Guide to Life.
