Benson figured out that Velasco is hiding something. She ordered Finn to keep an eye on Velasco.Finn found out that Velasco was seeing Arturo's partner, Eliana. Velasco confessed that he was in a relationship with Eliana and promised her to save her from the cartel. Velasco gave the SVU team a tip to catch the cartel members. However, the tip turned out to be a fake one. Arturo guessed someone was a mole in his team, and so he planted the fake tip. Velasco told Eliana to leave before Arturo could catch her. Velasco contacted the authorities from Eliana's phone.However, Eliana was caught, and to save her, Velasco revealed that he was a cop. Arturo fired shots at them, and Arturo was injured. Finn hits Arturo with a car, saving Velasco and Eliana's lives. Arturo was arrested for his crimes, and Eliana was granted witness protection.
