The most-awaited Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is finally here.

The first five minutes of the series dropped a day earlier. It gave us a glimpse of the Bridgerton house beaming with joy as Eloise, Lord Stirling, and Francesca are finally back from Scotland. They meet the new Lord Featherington, aka Penelope and Colin's son Elliot. But what makes the sequence even more interesting is how the attention shifts to the downstairs staff this time.

Yes, for the very first time, we get a sneakpeek into what goes beyond the glam and glitz of the drawing rooms, the downstairs crew. When it comes to the Bridgerton staff, Mrs. Wilson, maid Celia, and the handsome footman John are undeniably the most popular ones. Geraldine Alexander portrays Mrs. Wilson, while Sophie Lamont plays Celia. So who plays the charming footman John?

Footman John in Bridgerton Season 4 is portrayed by Oli Higginson. Higginson is well known for his roles in The Pursuit of Love, The Last Five Years, and Bachelor. He has also appeared in previous seasons of Bridgerton.

John is a charming man and a sort of hearthrob amongst the downstairs crew. You may remember him from several sequences in the previous seasons. For instance, Eloise bribed him to take her to the printing press. He was present when Eloise met Theo Sharpe. He even smirked when Eloise passed a harmless joke at Theo. In the entire Eloise-Theo Sharpe saga, footman John played a vital role.

John is the trusted footman of the Bridgertons. In many instances, we have seen him accompanying the members of the household or even announcing the arrival of the suitors.

We get a glimpse of him in the early release scene of the show. In Bridgerton Season 4, we see him loitering downstairs, amongst the staff. It looks like he's a charming hearthrob amongst them. But when duty calls, he's all set.

As Eloise, Lord Stirling, and Francesca return from Scotland, the entire house rejoices, but Lady Violet looks for Benedict. She asks the staff about him, but all remain tight-lipped, especially footman John. Violet rushes to the cottage, and Benedict's staff stop her from entering his room. The sequence ends with Violet opening the door.
