The live-action Spider-Man show ends with a set up for Spider-Noir Season 2, which has not been greenlit as of now. The finale ends with our heroes solving the case. Flint Marko has been set up as the most sympathetic of the three and his romantic relationship with Cat Hardy is one of the key plotlines in the recently released series.

Co-showrunner Oren Uziel has been open that he has a plans for the next season. However, it should be noted that as of now, Prime Video has not officially confirmed Spider-Noir Season 2. Therefore, as of now, it is unclear if season 2 will happen or not. But the positive reception of the series might convince Prime Video to renew it.

Will Spider-Noir Season 2 happen?

As of now, it is unclear if the second season will happen or not. The series dropped on Prime Video, making it accessible to a wider audience just 24 hours ago. Therefore, it is too soon for the streaming giant to renew Spider-Noir for a season 2. However, if you want the series to return, make sure to watch the series in both black-and-white and color versions to pull in numbers.

With the glowing popular and critical reviews, we may get Spider-Noir Season 2. However, for that to happen, the series needs to top viewing charts to convince the streamer to renew the series for a second season. Moreover, showrunner Oren Uziel also revealed that he has a clear idea of what the potential second season should be.

Oren Uziel reveals that the potential second season will see a time jump

Uziel sat down for an interview with SFX Magazine, where he revealed that the potential second season will see a time jump. The first season is set in 1933, and the showrunner revealed that the potential second season would be set in the days before World War II. Discussing Spider-Noir Season 2, Uziel said:

"Obviously, as time passes from 1933, we're heading towards not just trouble in the financial markets in New York, but also a geopolitical struggle that would be an amazing canvas for any future storytelling. It gives you so much built-in conflict and drama to work with. The city was going through extremely hard times... it's fertile ground for a city in crisis, but a city that's very much still alive."

If the second season were to happen, Cage's version of Spider-Noir could share something common with his Spider-Verse movies counterpart, as the wall-crawler could navigate the Second World War. Nicolas Cage had voiced Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is why some thought that the series is connected to the popular animated franchise.

However, that's not the case because Cage is playing Ben Reilly in the show, while the one in the Spider-Verse movies is Peter Parker. Therefore, if the second season were to happen, we can see Ben fight some N*zis like his Spider-Verse variant.

All eight episodes of Spider-Noir are streaming on Prime Video. Binge them if you want a second season.
