The 2022 ENA K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo is among the fan-favorite legal K-dramas. It tells the story of an autistic lawyer with a high IQ who begins her journey in the Hanbada law firm.

Season 1 of the K-drama was a huge global hit. The success of which resulted in the legal K-drama being renewed in 2023. However, no news of production came in the following years until the recent reports. According to All K-pop, Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo is now in pre-production, with a script being written for it.

Will there be a Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo? Here's what we know

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 1 first premiered in 2022 and was broadcast on ENA. It is also available for streaming on Netflix for global viewers. The K-drama was one of the hit series of 2022, and as per Netflix, it was officially renewed for a Season 2, with the CEO of AStory announcing that Season 2 would be broadcast in 2024. He stated:

"Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce Season 2 of ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo.’ The goal is to air Season 2 in 2024."

However, there was no other news about Season 2 of the legal K-drama after that. Recently, reports started pouring in about the production of Season 2 of the K-drama. All K-pop and Hallyu forms reported that Season 2 of the K-drama starring Park Eun-bin is in the works and is now in pre-production. It is also reported that Moon Ji-won, the writer of Season 1, is working on writing the script for Season 2.

However, a release date or cast details about Season 2 have not been confirmed yet.


What happened in Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 1?

In Season 1 of the popular legal K-drama, Young-woo, an autistic lawyer, begins her professional journey as she joins the Hanbada law firm. While she is exceptionally intelligent and has a high IQ, Young-woo struggles when it comes to social interaction, due to which she is neither taken seriously nor trusted enough to win a case.

However, as the K-drama moves forward, Yong-woo proves that she can win complicated cases without being able to communicate like others. Gradually, she wins the trust of her team and her mentor, Myung-seok, and also finds love.

While introducing new and unique cases to solve, the K-drama also follows Young-woo's story as we learn that she is the daughter of Tae Soo-mi, CEO of Taesan Law Firm, Hanbada's rival.

The beloved K-drama stars Park Eun-bin as Youn-woo. Along with her, numerous popular stars are also part of the K-drama, such as Kang Tae-oh, Jeon Bae-soo, Kang Ki-young, Ha Yoon-kyung, Joo Hyun-young, and Joo Jong-hyuk, among others. However, it is not yet confirmed whether they will also appear in Season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
