Phantom Lawyer has finally ended on a hopeful note. The SBS TV fantasy legal K-drama ended with Yi-rang's final case being to clear his father's name, which he successfully does. However, at the end of the final episode, Yi-rang also encounters a new ghost client, which has fans speculating that maybe a Season 2 of Phantom Lawyer is possible. However, SBS has not confirmed a sequel to the popular K-drama yet.More on this in our story. Will there be a Phantom Lawyer Season 2? Speculations explored View this post on Instagram Instagram PostPhantom Lawyer, which is also available for streaming on Netflix and other platforms, follows the story of Yi-rang, an ordinary lawyer. He is rejected by all the big firms because of his father's reputation, and decides to open his own firm. He ends up buying a place previously owned by a shaman and begins seeing ghosts, who become his clients. As the K-drama progresses, Yi-rang helps numerous ghosts with their cases and helps them pass on from the mortal world. While meeting new ghosts, he also encounters his father as his client. Although he initially tries to avoid helping him, believing that he was a corrupt prosecutor, he goes against his own belief and gives him a chance. In the finale, Yi-rang, with the help of Na-hyeon and Bong-su, finds the evidence and proves his father's innocence, before letting him pass on from this world. Furthermore, the final episode saw Yi-rang and Na-hyeon confess about their feelings and get together, while also working in the same firm. While it looked like Gi-jung would be Yi-rang's final ghost client, the final few moments of Phantom Lawyer depicted how Yi-rang ends up inhaling the mysterious incense and calling more ghosts. Season 1 ended with a new female ghost arriving in his office, teasing that there are more ghosts in the world who need Yi-rang's help to pass on.Furthermore, while we saw Byeong-gil in prison for his crimes, he was not repenting of any of it, hinting he might still not give up and would try to get out sooner than expected. Do-kyung, who failed to protect his father and is now the CEO of Taebaek, also resents Yi-rang, which would make their animosity stronger in Season 2. With Na-hyeon and Yi-rang together, Do-kyung would again feel lonely and resort to more unethical tricks to win cases against them. While several hints suggest a Season 2 of Phantom Lawyer to be possible, SBS has not officially confirmed anything about a sequel or cancellation. Furthermore, even if Season 2 gets confirmed, it might take a while for it to hit the screen as sequels take much more time to produce, for example, All Of Us Are Dead Season 2, in the Korean film industry, due to various reasons. Therefore, while waiting for Phantom Lawyer Season 2 confirmation, you can binge-watch all 16 episodes, now streaming on Netflix, Rakuten Viki, and Viu.Also Read: If Wishes Could Kill: What happens to Bangwool in the Netflix thriller K-drama?
