Shoresy Season 6 renewal details explored
Hulu has greenlit Shoresy Season 6. This announcement was made back in January 2026. The renewal was achieved as the previous seasons were well-received. Production is expected to begin in the fall of this year. The team will be shooting extensively in Sudbury, Ontario. The sixth season is expected to be released sometime in 2027.
Jared Keeso is the creator, writer, and lead actor of the series. He is also the executive producer along with Jacob Tierney, Mark Montefiore, Kara Haflidson, Sean Skene and Dan Skene.
In a USA Today interview, Keeso spoke about the show.
"I had real fear of ruining everything with my follow-up to Letterkenny. After 80 episodes of that show, my creative reserves for main characters were too depleted to confidently pursue a spin-off with one of them. I needed a tertiary character with meat on the bone. I thought Shoresy would be the most fun. Shoresy had the personality of a clogged toilet on Letterkenny. For him to be an accessible protagonist, I had to find ways to make him likable. I decided that a patriotic, one-woman man who never forgets to call his parents is easy to cheer for."
He further elaborated on the story.
"The story is a combination of what I want to write and what I estimate the audience wants to see. Whether I’m writing characters or jokes, it must be stimulating for me in its formation or I’ll pivot. In season four, schedule limitations forced us to shoot a hockey show in the middle of summer, so sometimes major elements of the story are decided for me."
