Even though our favorite dark comedy series, Hacks, is about to end, the possibility of its revival has not been completely ruled out.

Continually, the showrunners expressed their love for the members of the show. They also mentioned that concluding the show with Season 5 is an optimal creative call. They do not wish to unnecessarily stretch the show to the point where it starts to lose its charm or caliber. So, this ending brings them to a place of contentment, as they further added:

“We love these characters, we love this world, we love everybody in the ensemble. Right now we feel good about going out without overstaying our welcome — but you won’t have to twist my arm.”

The showrunners have also disclosed an upcoming fresh project they are creating in association with HBO. No further details were unveiled yet.

Meanwhile, the cast of the Emmy-winning show has reflected on how they feel about the ending of Hacks. Hannah Einbinder, who portrayed Ava Daniels in the series, is filled with enthusiasm about a revival of this show, as she said:

“Of course I would. Any excuse to be with my people.”

Along with her, the rest of the stars in the celebration event included Jean Smart, Mark Indelicato, Robby Hoffman, Rose Abdoo and Megan Stalter. Smart, who portrayed Deborah Vance, expressed her thoughts on the relationship between her character and Ava. She considers their bond to be something that has never been explored in the history of films and TV, as she mentions:

"I can’t think of a relationship like Ava’s and Deborah’s that has been in a movie or on television."

The veteran actor also praised the writers of the show, whilst mentioning Season 5 to be her most-loved one. She adds:

"I think the writers just seem to outdo themselves and raise the bar every single solitary season. This may be my favorite season.”

Hacks began its existence on May 13, 2021. This five-season series has emerged to be HBO Max's highly esteemed comedy show. Some of the unique aspects of the show, include its crisp writing and compelling performances of the cast — especially Jean Smart's incredible portrayal of the celebrated stand-up comedian Deborah Vance. Over five years, this show has cultivated a loyal following and left an indelible mark on television history.

Given the show's brilliance, the mere possibility of a reboot is bound to excite fans who aren't quite ready to let go. But we never know — as the creators themselves said, "Never say never."
