The Yaga premiere introduced not one but two of Hudson Williams' (Heated Rivalry) characters in Crave's latest horror-mystery series, based on Kat Sandler's eponymous 2019 play, inspired by the legend of the female character from Slavic folklore.

The official synopsis for the series reads as follows:

"In a small coastal town, Rapp, a private detective, investigates the disappearance of Henry Park, the heir to a commercial fishery. Rapp encounters Carson, a local detective, and Katherine, a university professor who has a taste for younger men, as the investigation is complicated by enigmatic suspects and ancient magic."

According to Show Snob, the Yaga premiere followed the disappearance of a 22-year-old college student, Henry Park (played by Hudson Williams), heir to a commercial fishery. While Sergeant Carson was on the case, Henry's parents hired Detective Charlie Rapp to find their son and he joined the local police.

According to The Journal, in addition to playing Henry Park, Hudson Williams also takes on the role of Logan Casey, his roommate. Interestingly, Logan Casey is an original character who is not featured in the play, adding a mysterious doppelganger edge and another layer to the already complicated mystery. By the time the end credits rolled on Episode 2, Carson and Rapp came across a new mystery connected to Logan, which will certainly add a twist to Henry Park’s disappearance.

Here's what happened in the premiere.

Yaga Episode 1 revealed the connection between Hudson Williams' dual characters

Considering how Williams' Henry Park made fleeting appearances on the missing flyers in the Yaga premiere, the show made a smart choice by introducing the Heated Rivalry actor as Henry's eerily similar-looking roommate, Logan.

Naturally, Detective Rapp and Carson began looking into Henry's disappearance by questioning his doppelganger roommate. According to The Journal, Hudson Williams managed to make Henry and Logan strikingly different. While Henry, the heir to a commercial fishery, has boyish charm, blue eyes and smooth skin, Logan has acne scars and wears glasses. However, these distinctions did not stop Rapp from commenting on how similar Logan looks to his missing roommate.

In Yaga Episode 1, Logan revealed that he met Henry at the beginning of the school year and they started sharing a house after Henry invited him. Logan last saw Henry at the Sandesons' diner, when Henry broke up with his girlfriend, Pam Russell.

Rapp and Carson questioned possible suspects in the Yaga premiere

Rapp and Carson continued their investigation into Henry's disappearance in the Yaga premiere, while experiencing bizarre events. An intimate encounter with his hotel's front desk clerk, Angel, led Rapp to discover a bizarre tattoo on her hip, which was similar to a photo in Henry's room. Episode 1 concluded with a twist, as Rapp finally heard from Henry. Williams' missing character left three consecutive text messages on Rapp's phone, all reading "stop looking for me."

In Yaga Episode 2, Rapp believed somebody was using Henry's phone to send him messages. Rapp and Carson headed to Henry's college to meet the Boner Beast, one of his teachers, Katherine Hargrove, a woman Rapp met in the bar the previous night. Pam revealed that Henry was cheating on her with Katherine. Katherine confessed that she started an intimate relationship with her student after appearing on his podcast but they found no useful information from her.

Yaga Episode 2 killed one of Hudson Williams' characters

The action shifted to a party at Henry's house in the latter half of Yaga Episode 2. Carson and Rapp arrived at the venue and saw somebody (either Henry or Logan) having s*x in Henry's room from the window. Before making his way inside, Rapp was unwillingly fed a lollipop dipped in a mysterious powder by Angel, which sent him on a hallucinatory trip.

Carson and Rapp finally reached Henry's room but the person they believed to be Henry quickly ran out. He pushed Carson into the hallway and ran into Logan's room, but disappeared when Carson followed. On the other hand, Rapp felt the effects of the substance and had a hallucination of Katherine wearing a white dress outside. She took one of his eyelashes and asked him to make a wish. Rapp was pulled out of the trance when Carson called out his name and revealed that it was Logan (not Henry) in Henry's room.

In the final moments of Yaga Episode 2, as Carson and Rapp were making sense of the bizarre events, they came across a face-down dead body in the water, who was revealed to be Logan. With Henry missing and Logan dead, it remains to be seen how the dual mystery will be solved in the upcoming episodes.
