Berto Colón and Hart Denton are on board onto the Dutton Ranch and they’re not here to play it safe

According to an exclusive news coming in via. Deadline, two new stars will be joining in on Dutton Ranch, the next spin-off in the Yellowstone universe.

Berto Colón will be playing a character named Miguel. He is described as a quiet but he's also a very strong cowboy. Colón has already done a lot of work across shows like The Penguin, Power Book II: Ghost.

Then there’s Hart Denton who has been cast as Chet. Denton's character is someone who works for a rival ranch, and this one detail already sets him up as a direct problem for Beth and Rip.

Denton has previously been on projects such as Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why.

This new casting new is clearly built to look at both sides of the conflict on Dutton Ranch, because there's one character who is rooted inside the Dutton world, the other is connected to the opposition for for Beth and Rip in the newest Yellowstone spin-off.

The synopsis of the new Yellowstone spin-off series reads,

"Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler fight to survive on their cherished 7,000-acre ranch amid tough times and stiff competition, while ensuring young Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be."

The story will be picking up right after the Yellowstone finale, with Beth and Rip trying to build something new in South Texas along with Carter.

We know that a rival ranch is ready to protect its territory at any cost, and that means violence, power games, and no easy wins.

The first trailer that was released opens with Rip finding a dead body, which pretty much tells you how things are going to go in the show. From there, it’s all guns and fire. You also get looks of Ed Harris and Annette Bening.

In the trailer we see Rip say, "Welcome to Texas," while sharing a drink with Beth. Later, Beth is seen saying,

"A legacy is a beautiful thing... but only if it survives."

Dutton Ranch is clearly building something intense with its new cast additions and its storyline. Berto Colón and Hart Denton's characters will be involved with a lot of conflict that is about to explode on the faces of all of the characters on the show.

It is already established that the spin-off is a continuation of the Yellowstone universe, and even though Beth and Rip may be starting new and fresh, everything around them suggests this new life is going to test them to their limits.
