Just a few more episodes, and tvN's trending K-drama, Spooky in Love will come to an end. The latest episode 9 is packed with romance, corporate rivalry, and a long-buried mystery. At the same time, Yeo-ri and Gang-uk take a step forward in their life as a couple.
Their engagement brought happiness and love, but things quickly become complicated when Yeo-ri decides to uncover what really happened during the yacht incident that left her able to see ghosts. At the same time, her position in the Reina Hotel is threatened after Gye-hee gets support from the board to remove her from the CEO's chair.
The shareholder battle is fast approaching, and Yeo-ri travels to Singapore in search of an important investor. She's startled to learn about the possibility of Min-hwan working against her.

Spooky in Love episode 9 recap: Yeo-ri and Gang-uk's engagement and the secrets around them
Episode 9 of Spooky in Love starts with Gang-uk and Yeo-ri getting engaged and kissing, while Min-hwan watches them and leaves. Hee-won also secretly appears at the venue, but because of her connection to Yeo-ri's family, she chooses to watch the engagement from a distance.
Min-hwan also saw his mother and lied to her about being in New York. After the engagement, Gang-uk takes Yeo-ri to the moonlight bridge. While remembering how their relationship began, they talk about Yeo-ri's ability to see ghosts.
Yeo-ri says that she wants to know more and exact details about the day on the yacht that changed her life. Gang-uk promises to help her uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Min-hwan admits that he still has feelings for Yeo-ri.
He tells Ha-ri in episode 9 of Spooky in Love that he fell in love with her when they were younger and intends to try to get her back. At the same time, Hee-won's knowledge about Yeo-ri and Ji-hwan's past relationship begins creating another problem. She eventually learns that Yeo-ri and Ji-hwan were classmates and becomes suspicious that Gang-uk has been hiding important information from her.
Spooky in Love episode 9 recap: The battle of Reina gets more complicated
While Yeo-ri is enjoying her engagement, a serious business battle is taking place at Reina. Gye-hee and her allies are trying to remove Yeo-ri from the CEO position through a shareholders' meeting. Director Gong agrees to support Gye-hee, putting Yeo-ri's side in danger.
Yeo-ri and her grandmother than discover that they are 3% short of the shares needed to secure a majority. Manager Bong suggests using evidence concerning Gye-hee's secret funds against her, but Yeo-ri knows that accusations will not help unless they can actually prove them.
They therefore begin contacting shareholders and trying to win their support. Gye-hee's group does the same in Spooky in Love episode 9. Yeo-ri eventually focuses on Han Se-in, whose family owns Chaeum Artrion. Hoping to convince Se-in to support her, Yeo-ri travels to Singapore, where Se-in is attending an art-related event.
But things don't go as planned. Se-in tells Yeo-ri that she has already sold her Reina shares for twice their value and refuses to reveal who bought them. Yeo-ri later discovers that Min-hwan was the person who made the deal with Se-in. Min-hwan is therefore actively working against Yeo-ri while pretending to deal with the situation from the sidelines.
He goes even further by contacting another investor, Danny Tan, and persuading him to cancel his meeting with Yeo-ri. This leaves Yeo-ri with another setback just before the shareholders' battle.
Spooky in Love episode 9 ending: The yatch mystery starts coming back
Before Spooky in Love episode 9 ends, we see Yeo-ri in Sinagopore, and someone falls into a pool. This triggers a memory of the yacht incident. She remembers Ji-hwan giving her his talisman necklace before going inside the cabin.
Yeo-ri also remembers Min-hwan and Ji-hwan had an argument before the incident. This makes Min-hwan a suspect and as viewers already know, he remembers everything.
Ji-hwan had discovered Yeo-ri's photograph in Min-hwan's wallet and became upset because he knew his brother still had feelings for her. The brothers argued, and during the confrontation, the yacht struck a rock. Ji-hwan then fell into the water and died.
Yeo-ri asks Min-hwan about the necklace in episode 9 of Spooky in Love, but he denies knowing anything about it. She also discovers that Se-in has disappeared from the hotel.
Meanwhile, Gang-uk is worried about Yeo-ri and decides to go to Singapore himself. He gets help from Hyeong-min to track down Se-in and manages to arrange time away from work. At the same time, Hee-won discovers another piece of Yeo-ri's connection to Ji-hwan. The episode ends, but the mystery is yet to be solved.
