Trigger Point Season 4 is releasing today on ITV, and before watching it, let's explore what happened in the last chapter. Season 3 opened with the return of bomb squad officer Lana Washington and her EXPO team, including Hass, Danny, newcomer Reg, and Lana's old companion.

The first episode kicked off with the discovery of a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned near a disused industrial site. Reports confirmed that a masked man had planted an active improvised explosive device in that area. The newly promoted officer, DCI Amar Batra, took charge of the operation and coordinated with DS Helen Morgan to ensure that the team was properly positioned to deal with the immediate threat.

As the episode progressed, Lana and her team uncovered an abandoned vehicle on a patch of wasteland. They found a victim named Ned Cole trapped inside the vehicle, which was rigged with explosives and deadly chemical weapons. The situation escalated after her team found a second cruel setup that targeted lecturers Agnes and Reg in a flooding plant room. Episode 2 revealed that the counter-terror officers attempted to connect victims across different cases, but one well-meant action disrupted the process and created confusion in their investigation.

From episode 3 to the season finale, the former construction worker, Steven Wyles, tried to take revenge for the deaths of his colleagues at a construction company. Steven's former colleagues and co-workers at DBN Construction had never been informed that the buildings they were assigned to contained dangerous asbestos.

Steven also planned to destroy a building with the CEO he believed was responsible for the current tragedy. However, he discovered that his own brother Isaac was part of the plot. Isaac confessed that he had accepted money from the construction company and failed to defend the workers even though he was their union representative.

In episode 6, Lana and her team went to Isaac's house, where Steven captured Isaac and Isaac's wife, Anya. After managing to escape, Steven forced Isaac to take him to the site of an old hospital that had been the first building demolished in the disastrous project.

Steven's wife had also died from cancer, and so he blamed Isaac for her death. He started believing that his wife died because the asbestos fibers from Isaac's clothes had exposed her when he worked at the firm.

Isaac tried to trick Steven with mind games before pressing a detonator, but Steven fooled him and turned the plan against him. As a result, Isaac ended up killing Steven and was later arrested for killing his own brother.

Meanwhile, Lana began therapy to deal with her PTSD and tinnitus problems. She remained determined to continue her work despite the trauma she endured throughout the series.
