Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Friday, February 20th
Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Randy is caught between a rock and a hard place, and no, I don't mean having Joey asking him to track down the mugger that beat up Hayley. I mean his first visit to Orphey Gene’s. Yes! Mona, she has her eye on the man in black who now happens to be in white. It’s a good look on him, does this mean we are seeing a transition from being a thug to being a better man? Well I’m not going to go that far just yet lol, but Mona thinks Randy’s soul is worth saving and so do I.
The interaction at first looked like Mona was sweet on Randy, and then it looked like, hey wait a minute, have you two… ?! But no Mona is a good woman of the church and she sees the good in Randy and would like to make that good part the more dominant part I’m sure. She’s not at all put off by the fact that Randy works for the most dangerous man in the DMV. She did’t take no for an answer and has Randy committed to attending church, at least once with her. This was one of the coolest interactions Randy has had on BTG so far and seeing this added depth and side to Randy, is a bright spot among some pretty dark and heavy storylines.
