Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

How has the knowledge of who Vanessa McBride is dating not reached Lance Sallinger's desk? Lance should have known better than to out hands on the lady on the arm of Joey Armstrong. It would seem that everyone in town except Lance is aware that they are together and that Joey is not someone with whom you should trifle. Well, trifle is exactly what Lance did, and the point of the spear is what he got in return.

Lance got the chance to meet Joey and learn everything he needed to know today. From heiong greeted like a high roller, brought into the backroom of the casino, and given a very special glass of scotch to play cards and win big, life was good, wasn’t it, Lance. Right up until the moment it went south, Joey hauled the man to his feet and held him in a tight grip, just like he had done with Doug just last year. Joey cauitoned lance that if he ever went near Vanessa again, he would know, and he would kill him. Even Liam Neeson would have loved the delivery of that line, and unless Lance wants to be ‘Taken’, he should heed the warning.
