Here's what went down Thursday, March 26, 2026, on Beyond the Gates when Ted checked himself, Bill started putting pieces together, and Leslie shilled for a "shouse."
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Ted met up with Kat at Caffeine Fix, where they found out by text that Anita was doing better. When Ted lamented that he'd had to find out about Kat staying with the Duprees from someone other than her, he declared his intention to begin repairing the damage between them. Kat was happy that she could help her grandparents, and Ted decided he liked “this side” of Kat, who winked that she was usually a “self-centered princess.”
Kat acknowledged that life was too short to continue putting all her energy into hating Leslie and Eva, inspiring Ted to admit that he had made Eva a priority in an attempt to make up for not being there as she matured...to the detriment of his other children. Ted proclaimed Kat the most loving and dedicated person he knew; Kat admitted that she hadn't been the only one to stay out of touch. Ted vowed to be more present with Kat, which she appreciated.
My secret (didja git it yet)

Naomi and Bill shared a meal at the country club, talking about Anita's decline. When Bill expressed relief that neither of his daughters had inherited Anita's BRCA gene mutation, Naomi looked the other way. It unnerved Naomi to hear Bill talking about himself not being around forever, and after Bill said that at least Jacob would be there for Naomi, she slipped that that wasn't certain. Naomi spun her cover story about Jacob still being away getting specialized training, but Bill sussed out that such instruction never took so long. Only Vernon's text that Anita was improving got Naomi out of the hot seat.
Ashley found Naomi at the hospital; Naomi fretted about how her secrets were suffocating her. Yet, Naomi wasn't ready to tell her family about carrying the BRCA gene variant; she wanted to inform Jacob first, but felt she couldn't while he remained undercover. Naomi promised to reconsider saying something when Jacob was safe.
In the alley, Grayson realized that Jacob had had a hand in getting Max to safety. Jacob insisted that Grayson end things with Ashley, since she was smart and would start figuring out what Grayson was involved in. Grayson refused to give Ashley up but conceded that Jacob had put himself at risk rescuing Max. Seeing the in, Jacob again asked what Grayson knew about the blood plasma ring, saying he could devise a plan to bust it with more information. However, Grayson reiterated that he didn't know who was running the syndicate.
Grayson returned to the hospital; Jacob's words fresh in his head, he allowed that he had been sending Ashley mixed signals, but only because he didn't want her to get hurt.
Izaiah sat down with his mother, Darlene Hawthorne, at Orphey Gene's. Darlene grumbled that she felt caught in the middle of Izaiah and Elon's animosity and wanted to hear more about Izaiah being rushed down the aisle with Eva Thomas...the daughter of the attempted murderer the department had been after for a year. Izaiah replied that Eva was nothing like Leslie and that Darlene should meet Eva, though Izaiah recoiled at the idea of subjecting Eva to a Hawthorne family dinner.
Darlene was surprised to learn that Izaiah knew about Jacob's undercover assignment and frowned upon discovering that Izaiah had been in the bad neighborhood Jacob was casing. She couldn't reveal the specifics of Jacob's work, only that she knew he was surrounded by violent people. Wanting to give his mother some peace of mind, Izaiah called Naomi and asked if Darlene could borrow her burner phone so she could hear for herself that Jacob was okay.
Before I let go

Anita was feeling much better and couldn't understand why it had happened so quickly until Ashley revealed that her chemo treatments had caused a serious infection. Ashley added that Anita had been responding well to the antibiotics and that she could go home that day. Once there, Anita put in a secret phone call, asking the recipient not to tell Vernon about their conversation.
Vernon ushered in a visiting Sharon, after which Sharon and Anita shooed Vernon out of the house. Sharon felt horrible that Anita had been in such anguish, but declared that Anita was winning her fight. Anita said that she would have gone on tour with Sharon and Tracy had she known she was going to get sick, but decided that she would call Devon Winters in Genoa City and take him up on his offer to re-record Articulettes songs (with the archived Barbara added to the tracks)...if she went into remission. Sharon didn't want to hear “if” and said she had faith that Anita would emerge victorious.
Anita swore Sharon to secrecy when her caller arrived – it was Bill, who had heard about Anita's hospitalization from Dani. The experience had made her want to take care of unfinished business, so Anita tasked Bill with amending her living trust, choosing to leave Vernon out of the update to prevent him from further having to face her mortality.
He like to call me Peaches when we get this nasty

Peaches, doing better because of the clinical trials and input from the research facility, enjoyed an outing at the country club with Leslie – and Eva, who stressed how much Leslie's funding of the clinic had changed her. After Peaches laughed that “Dana” had always been “vindictive as hell,” Leslie confessed that she hated how she'd wrecked their relationship and had never properly thanked her for raising Barbara's child. Peaches smiled that it had been worth it.
While Peaches tried caviar and couldn't see what rich people saw in it, Leslie spotted Vernon and confronted him about her “shouse” being held up because of a convenient one-inch property violation. Vernon suggested that Leslie sell so she could recoup the overages from paying her inactive construction crew, but Leslie refused to be pushed out of Fairmont Crest. Leslie disagreed that she was only frittering away the money Anita had put into Barbara's trust, citing the creation of the clinic – and determining that the more the Duprees tried to get rid of her, the harder she would work to stay.
Beyond the Gates airs weekdays on CBS and streams on Paramount Plus.
