We start the new week by leaping straight into the drama. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) discuss the future as Vanessa sits on Joey’s lap at the dinner table. Joey is telling Vanessa that having her move in with him really could mean something. Vanessa asks if that means that he can’t be apart from him, and Joey tells her that it could mean danger. Joey has a target on his back, always; there are rivals, and there is the law, and people always target loved ones to get to who they want. Vanessa is a brave woman for sure, and the risk is part of the attraction. Joey has mentioned danger many times now. I hope this doesn't mean Vanessa is going to get hurt.

The Kissing Hall of Fame

Uptown is the where, and Kial (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) are the who. This pair is kissing up a storm in a booth, and Kial tells Nicole that she should be in the kissing hall of fame. They keep going, but not without being noticed by the couple at the bar. Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) are on a date, and there is this look on Ted’s face when he sees his ex in a moment of passion. But don't worry, the drama is coming home with you, Ted.

Whose Are These Tacky Ass Panties?

Ted and Shanice head home from the date, looking to get things heated up, but heck no, not tonight. Remember that Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) paid the concierge $100 to get let into Ted’s room? The fuchsia thong that Leslie hid down the back of the couch? Well, Shanice finds it, and she is mad as hell. I hoped that when it comes out, Shanice will realize someone must have put it there, and that Ted is far too into her to pull this nonsense. Instead, Shanice crashes out and yells at Ted, “If I’m the one, then who do these tacky ass panties belong to?” Ted is left speechless, gulping air like a fish out of water. Leslie plays dirty and for keeps.

Anita Makes a Big Change

Anita (Tamara Tunie) is chatting with her daughter, Dani (Karla Mosley), at home, and it must be absolute hell. Anita is handling things amazingly and tells Dani that she had hoped to be able to look in the mirror and not see a cancer patient looking back at her. And right there and then, she sits down in her chair at the mirror and, taking a pair of scissors, starts cutting her hair. Anita may have to lose her hair, but she’s going to do it on her terms. Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) arrives, is gobsmacked, and covers her mouth as she sees the new Anita. Chelsea may look shocked, but she is all smiles, clearly loving what she sees.

That Damn Tea

Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) are at Garland Memorial Hospital, and he’s trying to get to the bottom of the strange lab results. Bill tells Madison (Kenjah McNeil) that after his stroke, his wife has been making him drink tea nonstop. The look Bill gives Hayley, along with her guilty look, says it all, but Madison is the key here. Madison knows that tea won’t cause those kinds of lab results, and I’m hoping she asks for a sample of this tea, which will mean Hayley has to pivot and start poisoning other foods and drinks. This may be the unravelling of Hayleys scheme!

This Is My Confession

Andre (Sean Freeman) is back from New York, and boy, has he missed some things. Andre tells Dani that Bill flat-out told him that giving up on Dani was a huge mistake. There is a big pause, and here it comes: Dani tells Andre that she kissed Bill. This is a massive moment, and after all the conversations that the couple has had, this will mean trouble. Can they survive this?
