Beyond the Gates Spoilers Next Week Sneak Peek January 12th to 16th: Joey meets with Bill about a problem and Ashley and her new colleague get close

No Boundaries? Anita (Tamara Tunie)and Vernon (Clifton Davis) are over at Dani's (Karla Mosley), and Anita is set to head up the stairs to see Dani, and Andre calls up the stairs to alert Dani by saying in a loud voice, “She may not be dressed yet.” Anita casually replies that she brought that girl into this world and asks Andre if he thinks she hasn’t seen that naked behind. Funny, but there is no stopping Anita Dupree when she is on a mission.

Well, that started quickly

At Uptowm, Ashley (Jen Jacob) appears to have moved on from her past relationship. Derek (Ben Gavin) who? She’s sat at the bar with a handsome stranger (Jordi Vilasuso as Grayson Perez) who just so happens to be a new colleague of Ashley's. Things seem to be progressing quickly and Ashley is not backwards about being forward when she asks Grayson if he knew that some people can tie a knot in a cherry stem with just their tongues. Grayson seems to be the type to love a challenge and asks if he should do it right then and there, to which Ashley replies by suggesting her apartment. Whoa Nelly! This just got heated quick, let us catch up, please.

No more of your poison, woman

Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) are in his office when she asks him for some tea, and, shockingly, he replies that he’s not going to have any more of her poison. No, we don’t think he’s caught on; he’s just as over being offered more of that nasty tea as we are of seeing her drop gallons of poison each week into it.

This could change everything

Naomi (Arielle Prepetit)is at the hospital, and she remarks to Ashley that she’s had blood drawn for testing more times than she can count, but this time could change everything. With Dani testing positive for the BRCA gene, it now falls to Naomi and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) to find out if they carry it too. Chelsea and Naomi hug, knowing that for them this is really important and so scary.

Joey, Bill, and Leslie

Joey (Jon Lindstrom) meets with Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) at Uptown, but it’s far from pleasant and a very short meeting, too. Leslie gets on the bad side pretty quickly and tells Joey that she knows all about him and ‘Nessa. But there’s more we will have to wait and listen to because Joey looks sternly at Leslie and tells her that he’s had people killed for making comments like that. Joey grabs his coat, and he’s off. Next, we see him at Bill’s office, and Bill queries the mobsters' arrival, to which Joey replies with, “It’s complicated.” After finding out some more info, Bill tells Joey that this is going to be more fun than he thought. Look out, Leslie!

Leslie and the Detective

Leslie and Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) are at Leslies hotel room, and Marcel is showing her his gun, the one with bullets lol. Marcel appears to have removed the magazine and has handed the pistol to Leslie who walks past and appears to handle and hold the pistol in a reliale shooting position. This speaks to Leslie knowing her way around a firearm well. Leslie remarks to Marcel that he has a lot to learn about about Ms Leslie. Whatever angle Marcel is playing he better bve careful too.
