Next Week on Beyond the Gates

Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) makes one heck of an entrance, and she has a heck of a chip on her shoulder. First impressions count, and so far, she seems to be more than a little angry at her mother, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli). A very awkward encounter at Uptown gets worse. As Joey (Jon Lindstrom) says, it was nice to have met her. Deanna is deliberately looking the other way, not even acknowledging Joey. What follows is quite the spectacle. Deanna rips into her mother, saying that someone doesn’t throw stacks of cash at a building to put her dead husband’s name on it unless he’s getting something, and then doubling down, Deanna tells her mom it’s obvious that she is serving it up. Poor Vanessa.

Shanice and Ted

These two make a great couple, and it looks like they are doing very well and going with the flow of their new relationship and their style. The couple is seen looking very cosy together, with Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) telling Ted (Keith D. Robinson) that those patterns he is wearing look very sexy on him, to which the Doctor replies, “You know what else looks sexy on me? You!” Still the best couple on the show IMO.

Jacob is desperate

Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) is out with her bestie, Ashley (Jen Jacob), and her boyfriend, Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso), when he suddenly gets a call that has him very worried. Grayson answers the unknown number, and it’s Jacob (Jibre Hordges) on the other end. Jacob and Grayson spotted each other at the end of Friday’s episode, and that was the moment that Grayson knew there was a cop involved, and Jacob knew that Grayson was part of the plasma-ring. Grayson enquires who is on the other end of the call, and Jacob says, “We need to talk, and don't say a single thing about what you saw until we do.” A lot is riding on this. This is the most vulnerable Jacob has been since he started the undercover assignment.

Nicole and Dani

If we thought Dani (Karla Mosley) might be the voice of reason in Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) ear, we were gravely mistaken. Dani thinks it’s great and tells her sister that having two talented men battling it out for her is the sexiest thing, and isn’t it the hottest thing you ever heard? Nicole just smiles, agreeing wholeheartedly.

Bill seeks answers from Joey

Bill is very much thrown off by what he’sseen regarding the interactions between Hayley and the good Samaritan, Sammy. Bill decides to go straight to the source and ask Joey flat out, “ Is there something about Hayley and Sammy I should know?” Well, Bill, yes, there is a lot you need to know, but how much will Joey tell him? Joey has made it clear to us how valuable it is to have a lawyer as powerful as Bill as a “friend,” So maybe this could be the beginning of the end for Scammy and Mrs. Scamilton.
