On Beyond the Gates, Grayson told Ashley that the reason he ran out on her was because his Parkinson's stricken mother had taken a fall at a care facility. Joey wouldn't give Leslie information about Marcel – then Leslie butted heads with Derek, whom Jan recommended for a position at her clinic. June knew about The Impaler and warned Smitty not to get in over his head; meanwhile, Jacob posed as a street tough while meeting plasma ring henchman Ren, who tasked Jacob with “motivating” a courier as a test of his fealty.

Bill worried that Chelsea was moving too fast when she announced her engagement to Madison and ran to Dani with his concerns, begging her not to let Chelsea make the same mistakes they had. Madison announced that she had refused the fellowship in Copenhagen, which had Naomi warning Chelsea that Madison could end up resenting her for it. Dani held her own against Fairmont Crest snob Anastasia Belleclaire and her granddaughter, who wanted to win “platinum deb” over Samantha at the cotillion. Naomi and Dani hid their worry from Mrs. Belleclaire when she snarked that Anita had been looking “green.” Anita and Vernon gave Samantha, Jessica, and Tyrell private etiquette lessons to prepare for the gala.

After meeting fashion designer Tatum Stewart, Dani was ready to accept Tatum's offer to represent her collection on the runway, though Dani checked with her family first given Anita's cancer. During a livestream which included the press, one reporter jeered that Dani was too old to model again, prompting her to give an impassioned speech about experience and being relatable to real women.

Carlton was upset when he saw Kial out with Nicole, who defended her right to date whomever she pleased – though Nicole later asked Vanessa if she was being a “ho.” Ted reprimanded Carlton after he took his frustration out on Shanice, then convinced Shanice to continue seeing him despite his earlier attention to Nicole's new image. Nicole became concerned when Lia, the hospital's chief of staff, implied that Nicole had influence over Carlton; Lia then saw Shanice and Ted making romantic plans and went off on Carlton about her facility being a matchmaking service.

Lynette staged a mugging by sucker punching Hayley; she was certain that Hayley's fake attack would take Bill's focus off of Dani. The scheme worked – but Naomi brought in the chief of police, and Bill was determined to make Hayley's assailant pay. Bill agreed to set Lynette up in a hotel room for “saving” Hayley yet sensed that Lynette was milking the situation. Lynette told a suspicious Randy that the only reason he continued to doubt her was to keep himself from sleeping with her like he used to. Tomás smelled a rat when he learned that Hayley had been with Lynette prior to her attack.

Beyond the Gates airs weekdays on CBS and streams on Paramount Plus. On Monday, February 16, the show will be rerunning the episode featuring Doug's death (which originally aired September 24, 2025). New episodes will resume airing Tuesday, February 17.
