On Beyond the Gates, Leslie made a stink about Joey not allowing the clinic to be named after her until he produced a flash drive containing information that silenced her. Vanessa got a threatening phone call from Lance, the husband of one of her escort service customers; after Lance accosted her and bruised her wrist, Joey considered the matter personal and reiterated that such confrontations were why he didn't want her in business with him.

Naomi struggled with telling her family that she had tested positive for the BRCA gene mutation given Anita's cancer – she nearly confided in Jacob until she learned that Elon had given him a coveted undercover assignment to bust a black market blood plasma ring. Smitty, who had tipped Jacob off to the syndicate, had to convince Jacob to let him help with the case.

Hayley was upset when Leslie seemed to notice that Bill was losing interest in her. When Lynette complained to Hayley about not being able to afford Bill's legal services, Hayley agreed to talk to Bill in an effort to keep Lynette quiet. After talking to Hayley about Bill's insistence that he make time for his personal life, Tomás went back to work and saw Bill and Dani kissing. The next day, Bill had a fantasy about kissing Dani again, then promoted Tomás to junior partner after Tomás promised to have Bill's back. Pamela warned Dani not to ruin her relationship with Andre, then the women saw Izaiah and thought he would be perfect for a modeling gig they were arranging.

Vanessa wondered if Nicole was still interested in Kial, who wanted Shanice to give him intel about Carlton. Though Nicole knew that Carlton wanted a more serious relationship than she was ready for, she told him that he was the one she truly felt a connection with, while Kial had been a distraction. Shanice defended herself against country club gossip Anastasia when Ted took her there for their date, but afterwards they had an uncomfortable run-in with Carlton and Nicole. Both couples ended their evenings by making love for the first time.

After Tyrell talked about his plans for the cotillion, Samantha jeered that the only reason Jessica was going was because it looked good on her college application. Kat raged at Ted for telling Eva she had tested negative for the BRCA gene, but Ted was tired of apologizing for having fatherly feelings for Eva and came down on Kat when she likened Eva to cancer. Finding no sympathy from neither Nicole nor Martin, Kat admitted that she didn't know how to stop hating Eva, while Samantha relayed how forgiving June had set her free.

Vacillating between boredom and a new lease on life from being BRCA-, Chelsea accepted party drugs from her former dealer, which horrified Madison. Derek interrupted Ashley's date with Grayson, after which she called him out for trying to ruin her new relationship and blabbing to her mother about it. Jan continued to fear Ashley was moving too fast, and Ashley implored Shanice to have Derek ask Sheryl out. Sharon accompanied Anita to her second chemo treatment, which caused Anita to faint.
