Beyond the Gates: Beyond the Gates Summary for the week of March 30-April 3, 2026: Hayley and Lynette turned Fairmont Crest upside-down

Here's your Beyond the Gates weekly recap for the episodes that aired March 30-April 3, 2026! The highlight of the week was a special appearance by Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls), who lifted her pal Anita's spirits with a special performance.

On Beyond the Gates, Vanessa tried to make peace with Deanna, but the young woman realized that her mother had been seeing Joey Armstrong behind her father's back. Kat and Donnell bonded over family secrets. Eva thanked Joey for getting Izaiah off the street.

Joey baited Carlton and Nicole during a night out with Vanessa, then brushed off Vanessa's plea to be more likable. Nicole slept with Kial after Carlton attributed her concern for Vanessa to projection. Ted urged Carlton to be better to Nicole than he had. Shanice feared she was a rebound, but Ted said he wanted a future with her.

I stand accused

Tomás flirted with Lynette for information, but Hayley caught him and told Bill he had harassed a client. After nearly losing his job, Tomás agreed to help Kat target Lynette once he left the firm. Kat warned Bill about Hayley and Lynette, prompting Bill to task Joey with learning more about her.

Hayley planned to kill Bill after Joey learned her mugging was staged, but Randy stopped her. Randy stammered after Joey said he knew about his sexual involvement with Lynette. When Bill saw Hayley had paid Lynette's $15,000 hotel bill, he suspected Lynette was using her. Lynette then demanded a cut of Bill's millions to stay quiet.

Martin saw how distracted Smitty was by his investigation. Grayson kissed Ashley to keep her from recognizing Jacob, then bailed on plans, leaving Ashley confused. Jacob got a new lead on The Impaler when Grayson blurted out that his supervisor was a woman. Lia found Grayson with "Rashad" outside of their meeting place and warned that Ashley could pay for it.

Anita was in good enough health to attend the Dupree Easter celebration – and to shame Anastasia for badmouthing Samantha. Dani and Bill worried about the clearly despondent Naomi. Later, Jacob met Naomi at the motel for their anniversary and predicted he would be home soon.

Bill was thrilled when Vernon said his functioning as Anita's executor was a good move. Nicole introduced Kial to her family, and he quickly won them over. Vernon surprised Anita by bringing Broadway star Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls) to the country club to perform. Holliday performed "The Greatest Gift of All, an original song composed by Beyond the Gates' musical trio of Kurt Farquhar, Marvin “Chanz” Parkman, and Ashley Neumeister,
