One of the most compelling tales that BTG has told since its inception is the secret that Martin (Brandon Claybon) and his grandfather, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), have attempted to keep. That secret is the way that Martin had to violently defend himself and Vernon the night they were threatened by two thugs after their car broke down.

Watch for Martin to confide in Vernon this week that his past will affect his political future. Will Martin find support from an unlikely source? Watch for Joey (Jon Lindstrom) to witness an argument and then make Martin an offer.

Is Hayley's (Marquita Goings) plan to kill Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and make off with his fortune finally going to be exposed? This week, watch for Hayley to cover her tracks. Will she be able to do that successfully? Bill is going to learn something disturbing, which is going to be his wife in the hot seat!

We've seen Vernon visit Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil) in her role as a doctor. He's let her know that he's had some concerns about memory. Who better than Dr. Montgomery to check out the Dupree family patriarch and get to the bottom of what's going on? Has the Dupree family gone from one medical crisis -- Anita's (Tamara Tunie) cancer -- to another one with Vernon?

Also, there's violence ahead this week as someone is going to be stabbed!
