Welcome to our newest article type, a deep-dive into the glamorous and sometimes cutthroat world of Beyond the Gates.
Beyond the Gates: What If?

If you’ve been feeling the whiplash from this week’s episodes, you certainly aren’t alone. This article is designed to be your definitive guide to the week that is and the week that will be in Fairmont Crest, offering a structured breakdown of the drama that will have every fan talking.
We begin by pulling back the gates on the most recent episodes of the week, providing an analytical look at teaser lines, what they foreshadowed, and how they panned out for our favorite and not-so-favorite characters. But we aren’t just going to look in the rearview mirror. Once we’ve discussed the immediate stuff, we will shift gears to look ahead. Finishing with a pivot to a "what if" question, we’ll take a wee look into our crystal ball to take a daring stab in the dark at the future, predicting what we foresee coming to pass.
What Happened On Beyond the Gates

So Madison (Kenjah McNeil) and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) got engaged, the plan was for both of them to go to Copenhagen, yes thats, that's right, Denmark. Thousands of miles away, so that Chelsea could be with Madison while she does her medical fellowship and not do the “long -distance” thing. After a really good talk, they have decided that the “long-distance” thing is actually a good idea. Then it all changes and Madison pulls the plug on Denmark. Whiplash indeed.
Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) thinks this is just a knee-jerk reaction and that Chelsea hasn’t really thought it all through. Kat is seeing it all through the “what about me” lens as always, and Dani (Karla Mosley), well, we haven't really seen her weigh in much on this yet, and when she finally did, she was onboard all the way, just hesitant on the whole Denmark thing. Madisons change of mind and giving up on her dreams has Chelsea wondering, if one day, Madison may regret her choice to give up on her fellowship. For now though, worrying about Chelsea getting bored is what we need to worry about.
Also of note is the undercover assignment that Detective Hawthorne is working on, aided by Smitty (Mike Manning). The pair have managed to get Jacob (Jibre Hordges) inside the ring and a step closer to seeing whose pulling the strings. This story is unfolding slowly, adding little pieces each week. Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) bailed on Ashley (Jen Jacob) right when things were about to get intimate, and our alarm bells rang until mondays episode, when Grayson explained to Ashley about his sick mom. Are we buying the excuse? Maybe, but when he mentioned “side-jobs” to earn extra money to put his mom in a better care facility, my co-conspirator and fellow columnist, Adam-Michael James, and I thought that we knew where this story was headed!
Every day after the episode we discuss, debrief and throw wild ideas out for each other. And now you get to benefit from all of this insight, be it humerous or straight up prophecy.
The Great Escape: Denmark or Bust? What If

Madison and Chelsea have always been a "move fast" couple, but no one expects them to take a fortune cookie so literally. What if, Chelsea does get bored and the cracks slowly appear, Is this relationship going to echo the others in the Dupree family? All signs point to yes, the show is really good at it's foreshadowing and as Dani puts it, "Past is prologue."
Grayson’s Dark Descent
While some fight for love, Grayson Perez is descending into darkness for family. With his mother’s health failing and the care facility providing poor care, verging on negligence, the lab tech might find a new "side hustle." Rumors are everywhere that Grayson is working with this figure known only as "The Impaler," serving as the needle, for a lucrative blood plasma ring. It’s a desperate move for a man with a good heart, but as the money starts rolling in, Grayson could find that the cost of saving his mother might just be his soul.
The Undercover Collusion

Meanwhile, the law is closing in. Detective Jacob has teamed up with the relentless investigative reporter Smitty (He's a bit like TinTin, just without the dog) to blow the lid off the plasma ring. This undercover mission could lead them to a shocking discovery: the trail of blood and money might lead directly to a prominent figure within the gates of Fairmont Crest, someone we have yet to meet.
We are pretty certain that the head of this snake is nobody we know on Beyond the Gates, as making a case for another career criminal from the cast we know, is a stretch. Joey Armstrong (John Lindstrom) has already told Chief Elon (Malachi Malik) that he doesnt know the people involved. The question will no longer be who is involved, but how high up the conspiracy goes. As Jacob and Smitty gather their evidence, the clock is ticking. In this town, secrets are protected by any means necessary, can they build their case before the ring shuts them down—or worse, takes them out permanently?
The gates are closing, but the truth is finally trying to get out. But which side will Jacob and Smitty be on?
