Welcome to our newest article type, a deep-dive into the glamorous and sometimes cutthroat world of Beyond the Gates. If you’ve been feeling the whiplash from this week’s episodes, you certainly aren’t alone. This article is your definitive guide to the week that is and the week that will be in Fairmont Crest, offering a structured breakdown of the drama that will have every fan talking.
We begin by pulling back the gates on the week's most recent episodes, providing an analytical look at teaser lines, what they foreshadowed, and how they panned out for our favorite and not-so-favorite characters. But we aren’t just going to look in the rearview mirror. Once we’ve discussed the immediate stuff, we will shift gears to look ahead. Finishing with a pivot to a "what if" question, we’ll take a wee look into our crystal ball to take a daring stab in the dark at the future, predicting what we foresee coming to pass.
What Happened On Beyond the Gates

This whole week has been setting up the return of the daughter of Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and the late Doug McBride (Jason Graham). Deanna, played by Angela Fairley. Deanna makes an entrance in Wednesday’s episode, but it wont be until Thursday that we see her true colors. She’s back and she’s mad as heck. She’s lost her father and she doesn’t understand why or how and the upcoming introduction to Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) is going to flip her all the way out.
Also fortelling maybe is the conversation between Detective Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy) and Joey. Initially it was about Joey wanting Marcel to keep control of Leslie, occupy her so she doesn’t keep annoying him. But soon it was Macel telling Joey that he thought it was a bit much that Joey invested in the free clinic and had it set up as a memorial to Doug, the man he had killed. (by Marcel)
What If?

Deanna is more interested in female company and makes a move on Eva (Ambyr Michelle). How would Isaiah (Lami) react to that? Or even Kat Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon)? That would certainly ruffle a few feathers, to say the least. Joey better have all his ducks in a row, I feel his past is about to be scrutinized by the young McBride.
