Beyond the Gates, daytime's newest soap opera, has just gotten some great news! CBS has announced that the daytime drama, currently in its second year, has been renewed for two more seasons!
More Beyond the Gates

BTG debuted on February 24, 2026. The series tells the story of the wealthy Dupree family that lives in the prestigious gated community of Fairmont Crest.
Tamara Tunie (ex-Jessica, As the World Turns) and Clifton Davis (Amen) star as Anita and Vernon Dupree, the matriarch and patriarch of the Dupree family. Karla Mosley (ex-Maya, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Daphnee Duplaix (ex-Rachel, One Life to Live) play their respective daughters, Dani and Nicole.
Series creator Michele Val Jean commented on the show's renewal for two more seasons on Facebook. "So this happened," Val Jean posted. "Thank you to everyone involved, from the network to the crew, for the support, belief, hard work, and dedication everyone has poured into this show. Beyond grateful. #BeyondTheGates #BTG."
Val Jean wants to give praise to Tracey Thomson, her co-head writer and executive producer: "She's been by my side cranking out these shows since episode 150. We just did 400. She's my partner, my co-head writer, and an executive producer, and she deserves all the credit."
The news of BTG receiving a pickup for two more seasons coincides with one of the show's storylines getting some positive news! Anita has been given a more positive prognosis regarding her breast cancer. Tunie's given a tour de force as Anita has bravely tackled this challenging crisis.
Fall preview

BTG won't be the new kid on the block when CBS introduces some new nighttime shows later this year. New CBS programs this fall include Harlan Coben's Final Twist on Mondays, NCIS: New York, Eternally Yours, and Cupertino.
"CBS broadcasts the most-watched entertainment shows in the country and continues to launch more every season,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “We’ll build on that this fall by expanding the powerful NCIS franchise, introducing a new original drama from the creators of The Good Wife and Elsbeth, and a new comedy from the acclaimed duo behind Ghosts. This all adds up to another schedule built for launching new hits, scaling audiences, and growing content value.”
Other returning CBS series include Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, 60 Minutes, Boston Blue, CIA, FBI, Fire Country, Ghosts, Matlock, NCIS: Origins, Sheriff Country, and The Amazing Race, as well as daytime programs The Young and the Restless, B&B, Let's Make a Deal, and The Price Is Right.
In June, watch for six characters from Y&R to crossover to BTG. Those characters are Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), Devon Winters (Bryton James), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
