Beyond the Gates is doing a little synergy with The Drew Barrymore Show by having correspondent Sunny Anderson visit the set for a special behind-the-scenes look! Don't miss Anderson's report on the Friday, January 16, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. Also, Anderson is set for an upcoming appearance on the show, too!
Sunny Anderson goes Beyond the Gates

"Sunny went to a show and did a thing with our sister show, Beyond the Gates," Barrymore previews, "which, by the way, is so gangbusters that it just landed on Entertainment Weekly's 10 Best Shows of the entire 2025 year!
"It's the first new daytime drama on TV since 1999," chimed in Ross Mathews, who appears on The Drew Barrymore Show, as her co-anchor. Days of our Lives fans may recall Matthews from his stint in Salem as Chris.
"Oh, gosh," Anderson raved about her visit to Beyond the Gates. "It is just fabulous, the wardrobe...it's a predominantly African American soap which has not happened in a long [time]. So, I got to go, and I had so much fun! I had a walk-on role! I had a really good time."
Anderson was greeted at the show by series stars Karla Mosley (Dani) and Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole). She got to smash some breakaway plates! Anderson also got to visit Orphey Jean's, which is named after series creator/executive producer/head writer Michele Val Jean's mother.
Sunny Anderson visits Fairmont Crest

Anderson playfully wondered if she had enough money to get into the prestigious Fairmont Crest country club! "You're with the Duprees," Duplaix reminded Anderson. "You're fine."
Duplaix showed Anderson a portrait in the country club set, revealing that it's actually a painting of George Cheeks's father. (Cheeks is the Chair of TV Media at Paramount.)
"I'd like to make a toast," Anderson joked as she, Duplaix and Mosley sat at a table at the Fairmont Crest Country Club. "Where are the waiters at?"
Next, the trio went over to the Dupree living room set. Anderson noted a detail that may not be seen by most viewers -- one of Anita's (Tamara Tunie) Emmys is actually engraved with the name "Anita Dupree" on it!
