Beyond the Gates answered both questions of who The Bold and the Beautiful's Ashley Jones would be playing on the show, and also who is "The Imapler," the mastermind behind the blood plasma ring on today's episode!
Beyond the Gates, meet Heather Armstrong

It turns out that the answer is the same. Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) didn't believe that his sister, Heather, Jones's character, was The Impaler. In fact, he laughed in her face when she revealed her identity. However, Joey did believe that his sister had a connection to the kingpin (queenpin?)
"Why do you think I'm joking?" Heather coyly asked her big brother. He shared that he was led to believe that The Impaler was a man.
It didn't take long, however, for Joey to realize his sister was telling the truth. "They want to think he's horrific and a big scary guy out of a Bond movie? Done!" Heather shared, explaining her "hiding in plain sight" scheme.
"You're serious," Joey said. Heather responded: "People eat it right up." She came to see Joey, to tell him right to his face. He said he believed her. Heather said that she learned from the best -- Joey and their father. Joey told Heather not to mention his name.
Heather acknowledged that Joey was the one who had to deal with the physical abuse, but she had to deal with their dad's sexist ways, as he wanted his daughter to get married.
Joey wondered how much of his sister's visit was personal and how much was business! Heather suggested working alongside her brother, but he rejected the offer. Heather didn't fight him on it, but she did promise to stay in touch as Joey requested.
Heather's impact on BTG

The news of Heather being The Impaler has caught even the normally cool, calm, and collected Joey off guard. He confided in Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) some details of his reunion with Heather, lying that he didn't get into whether or not Heather's overseas enterprises were legal or not.
Vanessa asked Joey what his sister wanted from him. He said he wasn't sure, but that he felt he'd find out soon enough!
Jones is a great addition to the BTG cast! She began her career in daytime nearly 30 years ago as teen Megan Dennison on The Young and the Restless, the role which earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations in the now-retired category of Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
She is also known for her role as Parker on General Hospital and Dr. Bridget Forrester on B&B. Jones was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the Guest Performer category for playing Bridget.
