This year's Daytime Emmy nominees for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series, Actress were:

Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton), Days of our Lives

Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland), The Young and the Restless

Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott), The Young and the Restless

Trisha Mann-Grant (Leslie Thomas), Beyond the Gates

Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn Quartermaine), General Hospital

And the Winner Is...

Y&R's Beth Maitland ultimately took home the gold after a year that offered its fair share of drama, heartache, and triumph. During her acceptance speech, Maitland noted that it had been 41 years since she had been on a Daytime Emmy stage accepting an award.

In 1985, she accepted the award in the same category for playing the same beloved Genoa City favorite, Traci Abbott.

"I was equally as gobsmacked back then as a young actress and I can't tell you how meaningful it is to me," she said. "There's a lot about the community that is daytime. They have embraced me for four-and-a-half decades...Bill Bell gifted me with a role that has transcended all of this time."

This past year, Maitland's Traci fell in love, got engaged, and learned her fiance wasn't who she thought he was. Instead, he was an evil twin, which is often par for the course with soaps. Traci really thought she had found the man who would be by her side for the rest of her life, only to learn that it was all a lie.

Soap Central congratulates Beth Maitland on her award tonight, as well as all the other winners at this year's Daytime Emmys.
