The Young and the Restless character Sally Spectra recently bounced an idea off of Billy Abbott. Maybe Amber Moore could shed some light on the whole Chancellor/Abbott loan from decades ago. After all, Amber wrote the late Katherine’s memoir! What does Adrienne Frantz have to say about reprising her fan favorite role?Casting AboutAmber and Kay | Image: JPISoap Central caught up with Frantz at The Marianna Group’s HARVEST Awards Week Experience for an exclusive interview on the possibility of Amber making her way back to Y&R.Both Frantz’s Amber and Courtney Hope’s Sally started on Y&R’s sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, before migrating over to Genoa City. Moore last appeared on B&B in 2012. Hope joined the half-hour soap in 2017, so their paths never crossed. However, Frantz says that she has met Hope over the years. “She’s very sweet,” Frantz says with a smile.While Billy (Jason Thompson) has put his plan to take over Chancellor Industries on temporary hold, it’s quite possible that Amber could play a key role in determining the validity of Billy’s claim that the Abbotts could own Chancellor Industries.Should Y&R reach out to Frantz to help flesh out this story by bringing Amber back, she’s definitely open to having a conversation! The actress is busy with a big project, but she says, “I still have plenty of room for soaps, too!”Amber interacted with several characters on Y&R who are still on the canvas, including Billy, Cane (Billy Flynn), Lauren (Tracey Bregman), Kevin (Greg Rikaart), and Daniel (Michael Graziadei). “We could get the whole crew together,” Frantz enthuses. “Wouldn’t it be something if there was a secret will and [Katherine] left all her [money] to Amber?”Also, when we last saw Amber, she’d recently given birth to her daughter, Rosie, fathered by Marcus Forrester (Texas Battle). While Rosie would be about 15 now, Frantz knows that children’s ages are often accelerated in soaps. “I think she’s about a perfect ‘18’ now, right?” Frantz says with a smile.Viewers love to see “have-not’s” like Amber come into power. She says her platform will have content, including but not limited to verticals, which are the latest craze. “We’re doing a lot more than that,” Frantz says. “We have the ability to have your screen recognized by your device on our APP. We’re utilizing more AI because we have AI experts as our partners.
