Soap Alum Jade Harlow Brings a Mysterious New Character to The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has cast actress Jade Harlow, best known to daytime fans as Jessica Bennett on Passions, in the role of the mysterious Marie Kirkland. Watch for her to make her debut next month on Monday, August 10.

From Harmony to Genoa City

According to a Y&R rep, Harlow has been cast on Y&R in the recurring role of Marie Kirkland, a woman who has a complicated past and is looking to make a fresh start in Genoa City. Watch for Harlow to make her Y&R debut on Monday, August 10.

Harlow is a three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress for playing Lianna Ramos on The Bay. She's also taken home two Daytime Emmys for her work as a producer on The Bay, from 2010-2015.

The actress first made her soap opera debut as Jessica Bennett on Passions. Harlow took over the role of Sam (James Hyde; ex-Jeremy Stark, Y&R) and Grace Bennett's (Dana Sparks; ex-Dr. Lena Cavett, Y&R) daughter from Mary Elizabeth Winstead in 2000. During her tenure in Harmony, Jessica was often frustrated by the antics of her older sister, Kay Bennett, who was obsessed with making Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald (Jesse Metcalfe) her boyfriend.

Passions' supernatural theme played into Jessica's story when Kay attempted to use some magic to break up Charity (Molly Stanton) and Miguel. The spell backfired, and Jessica and Reese (Bruce Michael Hall), Jessica's boyfriend, were broken up instead!

Salem and Beyond

Harlow left Harmony in 2003, but she was far from done with soaps. The actress went on to become a producer and star of the digital drama, The Bay.

In 2014, Harlow popped up on Days of our Lives as Sheryl Connors, a graphic designer who came to Salem hoping to land a position at Mad World Cosmetics. Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) hired her, but she had an ulterior motive. Sheryl was the former roommate of Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause), whom Kate competed against for the affections of Rafe (Galen Gering).

Kate didn't count on Sheryl and Jordan agreeing to team up. Sheryl entered a romance with Kate's son, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), but she ended up feeling as if she was in over her head, and she left Salem.
