The Young and the Restless star Christel Khaili is helping get the word out that Shemar Moore is back on the top-rated soap as Malcolm. The actress put on her interviewer hat to get some thoughts from her TV dad.The Young and the Restless, Khalil gets the scoop View this post on Instagram Instagram PostKhalil, armed with a SmartPhone, quizzed her Y&R co-stars while they were on set about Moore's return to Genoa City. The S.W.A.T. star is back at the show and will begin airing in April, along with Vivica A. Fox, who is reprising her role of Dr. Stephanie Simmons, the part she created over 30 years ago. "How do you feel about Shemar being here?" Khalil asked Bryton James, her TV brother, Devon. "About your daddy being here?" James replied. (Check out the video above to hear James's full answer!)Then, Khalil asked Moore how he felt about being back at Y&R. "I'm home, baby," replied Moore, who first began playing Malcolm in 1994. He playfully quipped that he had too much dialogue to learn -- 24 pages at Y&R, compared to the mere 8 pages he has to learn for his day job (on such shows as S.W.A.T. and S.W.A.T. Exiles.) "And I make more money!" he added with a smile. "I love my job," James said right into Khalil's camera. The Young and the Restless, 24 or 124 View this post on Instagram Instagram PostThe actress's video was set to the Mark Morrison song "Return of the Mack," which may have drowned out some of the interviews just a tad. (Did Moore say he had to learn 24 pages or 124?) If the actor's scenes are all being shot in a concentrated amount of time, it could be the latter! At least one poster believes that it's "only" 24 pages. "Shemar was concentrating on them 24 pages," posted @coreyknott. That prompted @souljapeaches to respond: "24 pages? Ugh- I haven't a clue how they memorise that stuff? I'm thinking study and ad lib? Learn the storyline and go for it!!!"Practice may help actors get better at learning lines. @charlesfrenchactor suggests, "It's not as hard as you might think. You could do it." @jovigirl0218, a longtime Y&R viewer, is awaiting Moore's return to the screen. "Soooo excited to see Malcolm back!! Remember his first day on Y&R, many years ago!! Love the Winters family!!" Catch all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS and Paramount Plus.
