The Young and the Restless star Shemar Moore is set to reprise his role as Malcolm Winters. Joining him will be actress Vivica A. Fox. Veteran viewers of the show will recall that Fox played the character of Stephanie on Y&R over 30 years ago.

Y&R has shared with Soap Central in a release that Moore and Fox are headed back to the top-rated soap opera for a multi-episode story arc that will begin airing in April. The actors started taping scenes on Tuesday, February 17.
The story calls for Malcolm and Dr. Stephanie Simmons, Fox's character, making a surprising return that has "shocking and lasting implications for the residents of Genoa City."
In 1995, Malcolm and Stephanie had a romantic relationship. Fox exited the series and went on to a successful film career, appearing in Independence Day, Kill Bill, and Batman and Robin. She's also appeared as a guest star on TV series, including Living Single, The Hughleys, Alias, and Law & Order.
Fox also played the role of Loretta Black for about a dozen episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Fox made her soap opera debut on Generations, playing the role of Maya opposite St. John's Adam. Maya and Doreen's (Jonelle Allen) fight, written by Beyond the Gates creator Michele Val Jean, was legendary as the two women fought over Doreen's lover and Maya's dad, Dr. Daniel Ruebens (Richard Roundtree).
Moore's mark as Malcolm
Moore, who won the Daytime Emmy in 2000 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Malcolm, first joined Y&R in 1994 as the half-brother of Neil Winters (the late Kristoff St. John). Moore exited Y&R in 2002 and has returned for story arcs and guest spots over the years.
He co-starred in the series Criminal Minds as Derek Morgan on CBS, and later, headlined the series S.W.A.T. as Sergeant Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson. Moore also hosted the syndicated music show Soul Train.
Fox can be seen in the upcoming MGM/Amazon feature film Is God Is, this May. Moore can be seen in S.W.A.T. Exiles.
