Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is not only ruthless on The Young and the Restless, but he's also a mastermind! He is clever! Who better to trap Jack on a boat with than Jack's ex-wife, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk)? This way, Victor can use his holding Jack hostage against Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Billy (Jason Thompson) to ensure their cooperation. He's also getting even with Jack by trapping him with a woman, who has caused him so much grief in the past. Y&R wisely did away with the child-like and unpredictable (well, she may still be unpredictable) Patty, and replaced her with someone who has claimed to have been rehabilitated through therapy and good doctors. Haiduk hasn't lost a single bit of Patty's manipulative edge, despite her being "rehabilitated." Victor stands to score a win/win by putting Jack and Patty together. Jack has already kissed Patty once. How will Diane (Susan Walters) deal with that? On one hand, she'll know that Jack was doing what he needed to do to get off that ship. On the other hand, Diane is not going to like that Jack was locking lips with another woman. Victor may not only get his company back by kidnapping Jack, but he'll have planted seeds of doubt in Jack and Diane's otherwise solid marriage!
