The Young and the Restless Gives a Shoutout to Amber Moore, and Adrienne Frantz Responds

The Young and the Restless is telling a story involving the late Katherine Chancellor, her company, Chancellor Industries, and who might truly own it. Naturally, the name of Kay's biographer, Amber Moore, came up recently, fueling speculation that the character could organically return to the show, and the actress herself has a response to the mention!

Quoted, Correctly

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who hopes that a document stating that John Abbott's heirs own Chancellor Industries because of an unpaid loan from John to Phillip Chancellor II, bounced some thoughts off Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as to who might have more information.

Candidates include Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Kay's longtime friend, as well as Esther Valentine (Kate Linder), Kay's longtime maid and friend, and Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton), Kay's longtime frenemy.

Sally suggested another candidate, Amber Moore, who helped Kay write her autobiography, I'm Going to Live Till I Die. While Nikki, Esther, and Jill are all good candidates to shed light on Chancellor Industries true ownership, it's Amber whom Kay may have confided in when they were working on the tome.

"Did somebody just say 'Amber Moore?' My friend saw this yesterday on @youngandrestlesscbs, very interesting…" Frantz posted on Instagram, sharing a video of the scene between Thompson's Billy and Hope's Sally.

Of course, one poster feels that the show Amber needs to return to is The Bold and the Beautiful, where the character originated in 1997. Frantz was scooped up by the half-hour soap after her turn as Tiffany on newbie soap Sunset Beach came to an end.

From Los Angeles to Genoa City

For several years, Amber stirred the pot in Los Angeles as she fell in love with teen Rick Forrester (Jacob Young). Amber lost Rick's baby, but then passed off her cousin Becky's (Marissa Tait) son as her own. Eventually, Amber told Rick the truth. That little boy, fathered by Deacon (Sean Kanan), was known as Eric Forrester III for a while, but now he's known as Deke, played by Harrison Cone.

Instagram user @rickb0824 wrote: "...bring Amber back. She’s [Deke's] mom. She has a history with Brooke [Katherine Kelly Lang], as she was married to her son, Rick, and gave him a kidney, too. She lost two children with Rick as well. Amber didn’t birth [Deke], but her cousin Becky did, who died and asked Amber to raise him...Fans want Amber back. Do it."

After Amber left Los Angeles, she moved to Genoa City, briefly reconnecting with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), a former L.A. resident. Amber became involved with many Y&R characters, including Cane Ashby (then, Daniel Goddard; now, Billy Flynn), Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), and the late Katherine.

Amber could be just the key to reveal whether the Abbotts are the owners of Jabot or whether Katherine repaid the loan that John made to her late husband.

Do you think it's time for Amber to return to Y&R? Or is she needed more on sister soap, B&B? Would you like to see her on both shows? Sound off in the comments below!
