Watch for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to enlist the aid of his longtime friend, Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell). Having an ally in the district attorney's office is probably the best weapon Victor could want right now. He can work with Christine and the law to make sure he gets Newman Enterprises back in his control.

However, Victor's energies are going to be divided. He's determined to lead the charge to bring down the elusive Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). It may not be long before Matt gets his memory back. Once that happens, Matt will have an advantage against the Newmans if they believe Noah (Lucas Adams) recounting that Matt claimed he didn't know who he was.

We've seen in a video teaser that Patty (Stacy Haiduk) and Matt will encounter one another at Crimson Lights, and Patty's quite intrigued. But she may not have time to make an ally out of Matt. She's going to be pleading her case to Billy (Jason Thompson), and she's going to experience Jack (Peter Bergman) turning the tables on her!

Nick's not out of the woods

Victor has to take the lead in bringing down Matt because his son, Nick, is still battling his addiction to painkillers/opioids. Yes, Nick has confessed all to his father, his mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victoria -- but as Nikki said, there will be slipups and setbacks.

Victor is going to put his efforts towards finding Matt, but that doesn't mean he won't find time to give Nick some tough love. By week's end, watch for Nick to strike a dangerous deal. Will he be looking to score a fix, or does he have a plan to do away with Matt Clark once and for all?

Cane's arrest is going to make it more problematic for him to be Malcolm's (Shemar Moore) donor to help him beat aplastic anemia. Watch for Cane to take a big step with Lily (Christel Khalil). But Cane's the one who might be surprised. By week's end, watch for Lily to catch Cane off guard. Does she know something about him and his offer to aid her biological father that Cane doesn't know she knows?
