Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has a plan to use Matt (Roger Howarth) as a pawn in her attempt to get the Newmans to force Christine (Lauralee Bell) to drop her plans to prosecute Phyllis for various crimes related to the Artificial Intelligence program. Well, at least she did.

That plan goes up in smoke once Phyllis no longer has control over Matt! This week, watch for Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) to show Matt around Genoa City. Patty may see aligning herself with Matt as the perfect opportunity to get some power and leverage herself.

Phyllis may not have Matt to use as a bargaining chip to rid herself of Christine (Lauralee Bell), but that doesn't mean Phyllis will be at the district attorney's mercy. Watch for Daniel (Michael Graziadei) to try to broker a truce between his mother and his stepmother. Daniel could be the one person who can get these two together. Also, this week, Sharon (Sharon Case) is going to give Phyllis some advice that she's not ready to hear.
