Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are currently on the outs because Nikki objects to the way in which Victor continues to treat Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Victor has put his vendetta against Jack above everything else, and if Nikki doesn't like it, then she can get lost!

In fact, Nikki has moved out of the Newman Ranch and into the Genoa City Athletic Club. The two have been at odds before and have made amends. As recently as last December, the two exchanged holiday gifts with deep meanings to them. They reconciled, but that did not last long.

On Monday's show, watch for Victor and Nikki's attempt at reconciliation to take a volatile turn. Will the couple head for a divorce, or will one of them give in to the other so that they can stay together?

Supreme sacrifice

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is still reeling from the letter that her daughter, Summer, sent her about her takeover of Newman Enterprises and how she didn't want to ever talk to her again. On top of that, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) told his mom that they were finished. (Ouch!)

On Monday's show, watch for Phyllis to make the supreme sacrifice for her success. Does this mean she'll give up Summers Conglomorate for the sake of her kids, hoping that this action will lead to them all being one big happy family again? Or is Phyllis going to double down, let her kids walk away, and wait for them to come begging to her once she makes her company a big financial success?

Phyllis could find herself at a crossroads. She's wanted to be a power player in Genoa City for quite some time, but Phyllis also cares about her kids. In this case, she may not be able to have it all.

On Monday's show, watch for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to place a risky bet. Will he discover that Nick (Joshua Morrow) has been taken hostage by Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)?

If so, what will Adam do to make sure that Nick isn't harmed? The two Newman brothers haven't been that close. Nick grew up either in boarding school or on the Newman Ranch. Adam grew up on a farm in Kansas with his late mother, Hope (Signy Coleman). He went off to study business at Harvard Business School while Nick got his education by being around Newman Enterprises.

Their sojourn to Las Vegas has forged a new relationship between the two, but will it all be meaningless if Nick is unable to survive Matt's attack on him?
