Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and his brother Adam (Mark Grossman) may have escaped Matt Clark's (Roger Howarth) clutches in Las Vegas, but we get the feeling that Matt is playing the long game. He's made sure that Nick gets his hands on some painkillers, and for an addict like Nick is that is bad news!

On Thursday's episode, watch for Nick to travel down a dangerous path. Does this mean he'll be taking more pills, creating an even greater addiction? Or is he going to go after Matt by himself without any backup? Nick needs help to both kick his addiction and to also eliminate Matt from his and his family's life! Will he be able to stop Matt and get his health back?

A bold move

Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) can talk about moving on from Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) all he wants, but he's more than likely going to change his mind as he realizes that Lily is the love of his life. On Thursday's show, watch for Cane to make a bold move to help Lily.

What's the most pressing issue on Lily's mind right now? She wants her biological dad, Malcolm (Shemar Moore), to find a match to cure his blood disorder. Does this mean that Cane will get tested? We've seen such selfless acts before, like when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) gave up a kidney to Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) when he needed one.

Michael tried to keep his identity secret -- but he didn't try that hard! He wanted Christine (Lauralee Bell) to discover that Michael was the donor so that she could champion him getting his law license back.

Cane, we imagine, will be doing this out of his love for Lily. She's sworn up and down many times that Cane is no longer a part of her life, but if he were to save Malcolm, then that just might change!

Keep Holden on to Claire

Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) has been going through a lot lately as he's learned that his late father, Jerry, wasn't his father at all! His true biological father is Malcolm. That's a lot to take in.

Who better for Holden to lean on than his former lover, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin)? If anyone knows what it's like to discover you're related to an important family in Genoa City, it's Claire. She was born Eve Howard, the daughter of Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
