The Young and the Restless Spoilers August 26: Diane Is Suspicious of Kyle's New Game Plan

Nick's starting to realize he won't beat his addiction alone on The Young and the Restless. Spoilers for the episode airing on Wednesday, August 26, have Nick opening up to Victor about struggles, Lily seeking Jack's counsel, and Diane being suspicious of Kyle's new game plan.

On Wednesday's episode, watch for Nick (Joshua Morrow) to open up to Victor (Eric Braeden) about his struggles. Victor barely trusts anyone outside the family. So, he's likely going to be quite pleased that his son is turning to him. Victor, unlike Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack (Peter Bergman), however, doesn't have a great deal of personal experience with addiction.

The Great Victor Newman has never gone down that addiction path, himself. That doesn't mean he won't be able to support his son. Victor loves his family more than anything in this world, and he'd like nothing more than to see Nick regain his sobriety. Will Nick draw on his dad's strength to get better?

Finding a Friend

Lily (Christel Khalil) is in for the fight of her life in terms of business if Billy (Jason Thompson) goes ahead with his plan to take Chancellor Industries away from her. On Tuesday's show, watch for Lily to seek Jack's counsel. Jack knows his brother Billy better than anyone. The Abbott patriarch also knows Jill (Jess Walton) quite well. She may be the key to getting to the heart of this war between the Abbotts and Chancellor Industries.

We're calling it a war because Billy is ready to do battle to win what he believes he deserves. Can Jack help Lily prevent bloodshed?

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is ready to help Kyle at any time. On Wednesday's show, watch for Diane to be suspicious of Kyle's new game plan. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has pitched the idea of Kyle and Victoria reviving Vibrante.

Claire (Hayley Erin) is already suspicious of Kyle and her mother going into business together. Claire has wondered if Kyle is out to get revenge against her grandfather. Why would Kyle want revenge? Well, Victor set Jack up on a yacht to be caught in a compromising position with Patty (Stacy Haiduk).

Then, Patty stabbed Jack, which led to Diane being taken in for questioning. Diane could have gone to jail for something she didn't do! Kyle was her alibi, yet Diane still faced prosecution!

All of this was Victor's doing, and Kyle knows it. He's very charming, so Vicki could end up getting her heart broken if she's not careful. Will Diane see through Kyle's plan and suggest that he abandon deceit? Diane wouldn't mind Victor getting his, but she doesn't want her son to be endangered!

Kyle might open up to Diane about his plan. He trusts her implicitly, especially after their ordeal with the evil Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns)!
