The Young and the Restless spoilers, February 16: Mariah comes home to face the music

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, February 16, 2026, have Mariah returning home to face the music, Abby and Devon struggling with forgiveness, and Tessa being torn between her past and present.

Mariah's (Camryn Grimes) tale of taking Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark) concluded a chapter once they were found by Sharon (Sharon Case), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Devon (Byrton James), and Det. Burrow (Matt Cohen). But her story isn't over.

On Monday's episode, Mariah is going to return home to face the music. She may not fully grasp why she took Dominic, other than her actions were somewhat tied to the abuse she received as a child from Ian Ward (Ray Wise), and she was somehow trying to protect Dominic. But that didn't give her the right to take him from his home. How will Mariah explain her actions to Dominic's loved ones?

Search for forgiveness

On Monday's show, Abby and Devon are going to struggle with forgiving Mariah. They know that Mariah is not well, mentally or emotionally, but that's not an excuse at the end of the day for her taking Dominic from them. Abby and Devon lived through every parent's worst nightmare as they didn't know where their child was.

It's possible that Abby and Devon might not be on the same page when it comes to what should happen next. Perhaps one of them will want Mariah either prosecuted or institutionalized for her actions? After all, what's to stop her from having another lapse in judgment (and that'd be putting it mildly) and taking Dominic away again?

Tessa's choice

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has already expressed her feelings to Daniel (Michael Graziadei) about moving on from Mariah. Now that Mariah has been found and Dominic is safe, the healing can begin. But does this mean there's a reunion on the horizon for Tessa and Mariah? Tessa is well aware that she reached out to Mariah on numerous occasions when she was dealing with what happened in the hotel room with the mystery man (played by Michael Swan) during her business trip. Additionally, Mariah has pushed people away further with her recent actions. Tessa will have to choose between a more stable future with Daniel and trying to make sense out of Mariah's actions.
