When Christian Miller chose a new name for himself, he didn't just run his finger through the phone book (ask your grandparents, kids) and settle on any old handle. He chose the name "Newman" to show he was literally a "new man" and "Victor," which means winner.

So, it won't come as a surprise that on Wednesday's show, Victor (Eric Braeden) will declare victory. He's had quite a few challenges over the last several months. Phyllis Summers' (Michelle Stafford) takeover of Newman Enterprises, and renaming it "Summers Conglomorate," has to be at the top of the list.

We were fairly confident that Victor would emerge victorious. It was always a matter of time!

Phyllis is known for pushing people away, hoping that things will work out in the end and that they will come back to her. That's likely how she's feeling towards Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) these days. Phyllis can go on social media and try to polish her image all she wants, if that's the route she chooses. But there's nothing like getting your name cleared legally. On Thursday's episode, watch for her to ask Michael to clear her name.

Michael's the man for the job. He didn't succeed when Phyllis was fighting to keep custody of Daniel, but that was a rare miss. If anyone can help Phyllis, it's going to be Michael, who is often the smartest person in the room!

Michael has the advantage of being on the inside with Victor. If anyone can convince Victor not to retaliate against Phyllis, it's Michael. He has a way with words and has the mogul's ear.

The Newman family has been very concerned about Nick's (Joshua Morrow) health lately, and with good cause! However, Nick's not the only Newman who's facing a health crisis. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has been struggling as of late, understandably so, as she's worried about her family!

On Thursday's episode, watch for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to worry about Nikki's medical issues. Victoria loves her mother dearly, and she's going to want to make sure that she gets the best care possible. Might Nikki's MS (multiple sclerosis) be the reason she hasn't been feeling well?
