Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) have a complicated relationship. They were dating for a while, and they were romantically involved. Claire felt Kyle was pushing too hard. She didn't want to accept his marriage proposal, and she didn't want to go to Paris for a romantic getaway.

Instead, Claire broke things off, and she began socializing with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). The two went to Los Angeles, saw the sights, and they took their relationship to another level. But the two split after Holden refused to be open with Claire about his past with Audra Charles (Zulekya Silver). That twist indirectly brought Kyle and Claire closer together again, as confidantes if not lovers.

However, their dynamic might be shifting again because on Tuesday's show, Kyle and Claire are going to find themselves on different sides of an issue. Is that matter related to the ongoing war between Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Claire's granddad, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle's dad?
