The Young and the Restless Spoilers, May 14: Victor gives Nick some tough love

Here are your spoilers for The Young and the Restless for Thursday, May 14, 2026, as Victor gives Nick some tough love, Jack turns the tables on Patty, and Phyllis sets a trap.

We often see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) going after his enemies (hi, Jack!) with a venegence. He's even harsher when it comes to the folks who directly threaten his family, including Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), whom he locked in his basement prison.

However, Victor can be equally supportive of his loved ones. He'll go to the ends of the earth to protect them (and all he expects is blind loyalty and devotion in return)! On Thursday's episode, watch for Victor to give Nick (Joshua Morrow) some tough love. Nick hasn't kicked his drug addiction yet, despite confessing that he has one to family members.

Is Victor the person who can reach Nick and get him on the right path to getting control of his life back? How far will Victor have to go to make sure Nick gets the help that he needs?

Jack was kidnapped, drugged, and held against his will on the yacht, presumably belonging to Victor. Maybe he rented it. Either way, he screwed up Jack's life by trapping him on board the boat with derranged Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Diane (Susan Walters) walked in on the two at the worst possible moment, and Jack and Diane's relationship hasn't been the same since!

On Thursday's episode, watch for Jack to turn the tables on Patty. Jack cares about his marriage to Diane too much to let Patty manipulate her way into his life this way. Jack's going to show Patty that she's not going to get the last word in on his relationship with Diane! Will Jack turning the tables work? Or will Patty counter with a scheme of her own?

Jack's not the only one who's out to accomplish something in this episode. Watch for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to set a trap. She doesn't see her takeover of Newman Enterprises as wrong, as Victor has pulled power plays over the years. Also, Phyllis believes that it's wrong for Victor to create some fake emails to frame her for something she didn't do (even though she kind of did -- but try telling that to Phyllis)!

Phyllis has nearly everyone against her these days. There's Victor, Michael (Christian LeBlanc), and Nick, who are against what Phyllis is doing. Recently, Lily (Christel Khalil) threatened Phyllis with channeling her late mother, Dru (Victoria Rowell), if she were to hurt Cane.
